~ The Unforgettable Saxophone Family at Play ~

The Brass Dragon Saxophone Band is an exciting and entertaining ensemble that plays an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, and ethnic music from around the world. Made up of top professional musicians from the Seattle area, this sextet shares with their audiences the amazing diversity of the saxophone family, using a wide range of unusual saxophones from the diminutives sopranino through the gargantuan contrabass. The sound produced by the group at times recalls the rich magnificence of a pipe organ, but also includes Vaudeville humor, introspective classical works, and the freewheeling joyousness of Latin, Klezmer, renaissance, rock, flamenco, and swing music.
