Conn is really "tooting their own horn!"

The mezzo reads English horn music very comfortably, and can also read French horn parts. It has a sweet, warm sound that combines the best traits of alto and soprano. It is a finely-crafted instrument that plays as well as any professional instrument of its era. It is sad that the instrument is so little known- It was only manufactured for a few years in the late 1920's, and thanks to the
Great Depression, it never found a hold in the market. The innovative Conn-o-Sax (a straight mezzo with extended keywork) met a similar undeserved fate.
